Anesthesia can make cats feel a bit ill, so it's not unusual for them to vomit right after being spayed. Did the vet instruct you to withhold food or water for a certain time for her?
Since she's feeling pretty icky to her stomach, let's go ahead and pull up food and water for her for 6-12 hours. This will give her stomach a chance to settle and for ther anesthesia to works its way out of her system.
Are you able to take a peek at her gums and tongue and tell me what color they are?
Thank you!
OKay, good. And you're not seeing any swelling or inflammation at her incision?
It's very common for cats to feel nauseated after the medications and gas used for anesthetic. So long as she's otherwise acting normally, you can keep monitoring her at home. When you start to reintroduce food and water tomorrow, start with water first, and give her small amounts (if she'll drink). Then if she's holding her water down for an hour, give her small bits of food a little bit at a time over an hour to make sure she doesn't scarf it down and puke it all up again.
Then if she's still vomiting after that, you can contact the vet who did the spay to get her looked at.
I'm just checking in to see if there's anything else you need help with, or if you have any additional questions or concerns. I'm here to assist you, so please don't hesitate to ask further questions!
