Customer: Hi, my cat had low energy the past 2 days but now she seems getting better (eats and drinks more/regularly and has better energy). Should I still take her for a vet visit?
JA: Hi there. I'll do all I can to help. How has the cat's appetite been? Any changes in her stool?
Customer: She didn't eat much the past 24-48 hours until this afternoon (back to normal appetite).
JA: Could she have eaten something unusual?
Customer: Not I'm aware of but she does sometimes try to have a bite of whatsoever I accidentally left on the kitchen island..
JA: What's the cat's name and age?
Customer: Sia and 5 years old
JA: Is there anything else the Vet should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: Oh, she had a little diarrhea last night but stool has been normal otherwise

Hi-Doc Nelson here with JA! I have been a vet for over 30 years. I just logged onto the website and saw that you have not received an answer yet - I'm terribly sorry about that! Please be patient with me as I'm typing up replies as I don't type very fast!

I'm glad to hear Sia seems to be feeling better! A hands on vet exam is always a good idea, especially if it has been a year or more since the last time she saw a vet. But as long as her appetite, drinking, lethargy, and diarrhea continue to improve for her and Sia gets 100% back to normal, then I would not consider a vet visit urgent. I hope Sia continues to do well for you!

Customer
I was just up and noticed she vomited in the litter box last night... I suppose I should try to get her a vet appointment today? Is there anything I should bring to the vet?

Yes, I'd bring her into a local vet to determine the underlying cause of Sia's symptoms so she can receive proper treatment. You could bring a stool sample with for a fecal test. I hope Sia is feeling better soon!

Customer
Thanks!

You're very welcome!
