Customer Question
I have a 10...

I have a 10 month old male, both of his parents, (the mother is nursing 3 week old kittens.) The 10 month old, and the parents are not eating, pooping, or urinating. They ARE drinking. I had the 10 month old in to see the vet yesterday. he had a fever. The vet gave him a shot of penecillin and prescribed flagyl. There is no change in him. They are all also very lethargic. I'm terrified we may lose these cats. The vet said he will call me tomorrow to see how he is, but, now I have 2 others ill as well.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. It could be an infection. The Expert will know what to do. What is the kitten's name?

Ivan

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Ivan?

Not that I can think of.

I am very sorry to see that you have not received a response to your initial question before now. I just came online and found that your question had not been addressed. Will you give me an update on how your companion is at this time so that I can move forward with addressing your concern?

Well, as of 5 minutes ago, the mama cat and the 10 month old cat are eating treats, but nothing else. Beyond that, the situation is unchanged. The Papa cat has not eaten or drank anything.
Cat Veterinarian: PitRottMommy, Veterinary Nurse replied 11 days ago

Have there been any changes to the diet? New food, including a change of flavors or protein source within the same brand? New treats? Bones? Has any human food been fed in the last few days (even if your pet regularly receives it)? Torn up toys or trash? Stressful changes to the environment? Addition of medication? Toxin ingestion?

Were any diagnostics performed, such as bloodwork?

Are these purebred cats or strays?

Have any of these cats had a recent FIV/FeLV test?

Are the cats indoors only or indoor/outdoor?

Any vomiting or diarrhea?

Honestly, I'm afraid I will be charged crazy amounts of money doing this...but, all tests have been done, they were clear. NONE go outside, no eating things they shouldn't, no food changes. Yes to diarreah and vomitting. But not in the last day or so.
Cat Veterinarian: PitRottMommy, Veterinary Nurse replied 10 days ago

Can you share results of the testing performed? I need to see what tests were run to know how to advise you.
