I'm not sure when the last time was that you had his blood work checked but vomiting can be a very common side effect in cats that have kidney disease. They tend to produce more acid in their stomach and subsequently vomit. As the kidney disease progresses or if there are other concurrent diseases this can complicate things and also increase the frequency of vomiting. Typing

If he has not had any blood work recently than I would suggest having it rechecked. When I mean recently I mean within the last couple of months as kidney disease can progress quickly. I would also recommend checking a thyroid level. Cats with thyroid disease can also have frequent vomiting. As far as what to do to treat it you could certainly Implement a fourth of a tablet of 10 mg Pepcid AC. This is an acid reducer and can sometimes help to decrease the frequency of vomiting by settling the stomach.

If this is a recent increase in vomiting or a completely new symptom than that is always a reason to recheck blood work especially in a cat that has underlying disease already. I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. If you are satisfied with my assistance, a 5-star rating is always appreciated. Even after the rating we can continue this conversation for about a week, so keep me posted. Sincerely ***** *****
