Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.

Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner, but can you tell me:

Did she chew or eat it?

Can you take a rectal temperature (as feeling her skin won't be accurate)?

Any retching, gagging, lip licking, or drooling?

Any change to her breathing or thirst?

Are her gums pink or white/pale? Moist or sticky?

If you press on her belly, any tensing, tenderness, discomfort, or pain?

She seems fine today, eating treats and kibble. Her demeanour was depressed, lethargic, breathing more shallow, gums pink. I did get her to eat chicken yesterday and think she will be fine and flowers are disposed of. Thanks anyway.
Cat Veterinarian: Dr. B., Cat Veterinarian replied 3 months ago

Hello again,

I am so glad to hear that Jazmine is feeling better especially as crocus ingestion in the cat is notorious for causing appetite loss, vomiting, diarrhea, and in high doses we can see blood in the stool or even shock. Therefore, its good that the flowers have been removed and she is feeling better. Just to note, further to offering chicken, you can use meat baby food (make sure its garlic/onion free) or even syringe feed kitten food if needed. But given that she hasn't those signs and has taken some chicken, we'd expect her to improve without major intervention and her appetite should just pick back up.

Best wishes,

Dr. B.
