My older cat (don't really know age) eats constantly but remained skeletally thin. She was feral when I got her years ago & has never learned to trust enough for me to bring her to a vet.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. What seems to be the problem with the cat?

I just told you.

Veterinarian's Assistant: Where does the cat seem to hurt?

Did you even read what I wrote???

Veterinarian's Assistant: Can you see anything that looks wrong or different?

No

Veterinarian's Assistant: OK. Nothing visually obvious. Is the cat eating normally?

The cat is eating enormously, always wants more food.

Veterinarian's Assistant: OK, abnormal eating. What is the cat's name and age?

Her name is Xena. I don't know her age. I've had her about 11 years. I'd say she was a young adult when I got her.

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Xena?

Years ago when I did bring her to a vet to get neutered (and I have a scar to prove it) I was told she's F iV positive.

I am very sorry to see that you have not received a response to your initial question before now. I just came online and found that your question had not been addressed. How is your companion at this time?

I saw that you mentioned that she has not learned to trust going to the vet. When was the last time she did go for a full panel of bloodwork?

Have you looked in to having a mobile vet come to you, instead?

How old is she?

When did the voracious appetite begin? Has it always been this way?
