Hello. My name is***** would recommend taking Sandra to see her primary care veterinarian on Monday. If her abdomen appears to be bloated, then she needs a vet to evaluate her. Even if she is passing stool in the litter box she could still be constipated. But, I am more concerned that she could have fluid in her abdomen or a mass. If she is acting listless, painful, vomiting more than once per day or not eating, then I would strongly recommend taking her to be seen by an emergency veterinarian over the weekend.

Asking if it could be hair build-up and if there’s a way to get it to pass without taking her to the vet. She hates going in the car.

Think we’re done here.

Oh I see. I understand if she hates riding in the car! A lot of my patients hate that! There are over the counter products you can try. Laxatone is a oral supplement that you should be able to find at most pet stores. If she does have a hairball, then the laxatone should help.
