Customer Question
She is an indoor...

She is an indoor cat with a long coat. She licks herself a lot to try to remain clean. However there is now a little hairless patch under her lip on her chin. I wonder if it is caused be excessive grooming or is something else I should be worried about. It appeared overnight.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. Strange behavior is often perplexing. I'm sure the Veterinarian can help you. Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about the cat?

When I say excessive I don't mean she does it a lot. I misspoke. What I am worried about is the bump or hairless patch. It doesn't seem to bother her.
