Gastroentiritis. First off, is this a live human? Acute
OK. Acute onset of stomach ailment accomanied by diarrhea and vomiting. I have are record I wrote: Emily medical historyEmily is a 2-year-old female American shorthair torbie cat that is normally active and playful. She does not have a history of apparent disease. She has a good appetite and is prone to over-eating by sneaking food from another cat's bowl.Emily weighs approximately 13 pounds.Because of age, do not suspect early organ failure Fed a different food (Friskies) than the normal Healthy Gourmet by Blue.Suspect gastroentiritis with/without foreign substance blockage (string?)4/24/2017, 10:00am Emily pooped normally and stool appeared normal.4/24/2017, 12:30pm Emily threw up good amount of undigested food. No particular odor, not blackened or red, laying on bed, seemed OK.4/24/2017, 6:00pm Emily did not eat dinner.4/24/2017, 8:00pm Emily went into tub and pooped diarrhea and mucus. The mucus was clear and the feces was liquidy4/25/2017, 2:00am Emily in cat carrier, behind fur wet with runs, gave her 1-ounce of water orally.4/25/2017, 3:00am Emily threw up a small amount of undigested food. Litter box shows signs of diarrhea with mucus (still clear).4/25/2017, 7:30am Emily given 1-ounce of water because of mucousy stools. She seems a little livlier and wants to drink water, but stared at the dish.4/25/2017, 10:30am Emily given 2-ounces of pediatric electrolytes orally. She atempted to poop aagain, but just mucus being evacuated. She does not seem as nauseous and has not thrown up for 7 1/2 hours.>>>>>Returned from store with: 1) chicken and rice soup to be diluted (with pediatric electrolytes?) and served to Emily, 2) pediatric electrolytes to encourage good hydration and 3) Ensure to provide more nutrients than just pediatric electrolytes.>>>>>My plan is to switch between pediatric electrolytes and Ensure until she poops more solidly. Then chicken and rice soup will be encouragingly offered. This all depends on if she can get rid of whatever is blocking her up since this may be very serious. … read more
