My cat's behaviour has changed...
My cat's behaviour has changed. she is five suddenly doesn't like her food or her litter box is now using the shower stall. She has always been a bit nervous but now is too frightened to go outside and sleeps all day not interested in toys or playing. If something frightened her I don,t know.

Hello, cat behavior can be a tricky thing. They really do not like alterations to their routine or environment. These could be new people, other pets, sounds, construction in your home. If she always used her litter box before and now going "inappropriately" (I'm assuming you mean urinating) she could be stressed or have urinary tract infection or some other medical discomfort. Could something outside be causing her anxiety such as antoher cat or wild life. Have you introduced a new cat or pup into your home, adult cats often do now appreciate this ;) If this does not aid in pinpointing a trigger I would recommend seeing a vet to check her out.

Thank you. I forgot to say that Saffy has just had her annual check up, but we have had workmen on our balcony, however, they have left now about three weeks ago. One thing I always laughed because she ate the same brand of food all her life but it suddenly changed and became hard to get. I think they might have done something to the litter too, maybe a smell or something. Anyway I think this might explain. I have ordered different food too but she's fussy.
