Dr. Paul Brazzell here

Are you still there?

Okay great!

This sounds like an upper respiratory tract infection or possibly something stick in nose

Were these episodes the first and last?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Hold on. A call is an additional $28?? It was $5 to find out what the fees were for the info I asked for. While it would be great to talk to you by phone, I'd like a response. Oh- there it is!
He has subsequently coughed a bit more and sounds as if he's like to clear his throat. Not a hairball sound - something more resonant. he's eating and affectionate & his normal self otherwise.

Dont need to talk on phone :)

Good. I think he has something caught in his throat or perhaps lodged in his nose. Can't see anything so far. Guess he'll have to go to a vet unless you think maybe hairball meds could dislodge whatever it is?

I dont think you have to take him in yet

I would try one inch hairball remedy twice daily for ten days to see if that sorts out the hairball

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Would this work for a foreign object as well because I'm pretty sure it's not a hairball given the nose rubbing and sneezing fits?

I felt we were dealing with two separate issues

Are the sneezing fits persisting?

Any discharge from eyes?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
No more fits. No discharge. No change in personality. Only difference in his behavior was the nose rubbing - haven't seen it lately.

Not worried about that nose thing for now then

Lets focus on the possible hairball
