Customer Question
I went and adopted...

I went and adopted a cat that I believe is about 8 months old and she has not pooped for a week now. I have shown her where the litter box is but still nothing. Also she was not handled at all by her previous owner but I am trying my best to handle her every day but she continues to hide. She haas urinated once the other day on my floor but I got out the cat box and put litter in it and I hope she will go in there now. But I want to know why she has not pooped.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'm sorry to hear that. Strange behavior is often perplexing. I'm sure the Veterinarian can help you. What is the cat's name?

Rosie

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Rosie?

I was told that she is not spayed and has not received any shots, but I will get them for her in December.

I forgot to also tell you that Rosie was an inside cat and there were 11 other cats in the house where I adopted her. She has never been outside and really has had no human interaction.
