12yo cat has been admitted to vet. Low body weight. Not

Customer Question

12yo cat has been admitted to vet. Low body weight. Not eating, but wants to. Very low body temp, not riding despite warming. Dehydrated but is still drinking. Blood tests show anemia, high platelets. X-ray showed some shadowing in abdomen, but nothing obvious or substantial. Heart, lungs, kidney all seem to be functioning well. Liver may be slightly compromised. Ate well this morning at vet, but not this evening. Has been bad for about a fortnight, but could have been declining over 4-6 weeks. May have ingested rat poison between 2-6 weeks ago - took a dead mouse off her at some point in not distant past.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Did you see what the cat ate?
Customer: At the vet?
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about the cat?
Customer: Not that comes to mind
