Customer Question

My 3-year old cat is overweight and loves to eat. I think she overate this morning and then one of my neutered male cats bothered (tried to mount) her and she meowed/screamed. She just had breakfast (dry/wet high quality food) and then vomited 4-5 times and tried to poop but just a few drops of diarrhea came out. I put the cat in a bedroom by herself with a heated bed. She hasn't eaten for several hours but is very alert and wants me to pet her. I've also given her a few cc's of water through the day/night. My vet told me to give her tuna and rice ground up very fine, but she won't eat that or her regular food.
I'm concerned that she won't eat. The vet did not tell me what to do when she told me what to feed her.
Your thoughts/advice, please.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today.

Has she just been vomiting food?

Can she drink and keep water down?

Are her gums pink or pale/white? Moist or sticky?

If you press on her belly, any discomfort, tenderness, or tensing?

Could she have eaten something she should not have (ie bones, toys, plants, chemicals, etc)?

Any more diarrhea?
