Customer Question

Hey, 7 month old kitten. For 2 days hes been limping, and about a half hour ago he was trying to drink a little (I thought it was a good sign) but he fell down. No visible signs of injury. He seems a little ginger upwards towards his kidney area, just below the rib.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Have you looked to see if there is a wound on their foot?
Customer: Yeah he doesnt seem to have a wound. He has an extra toe back there. Always roughhouses with his brother.
JA: The veterinarian will know what to do. What is the kitten's name?
Customer: Thumbs
JA: Is there anything else important you think the veterinarian should know about Thumbs?
Customer: Just that he has extra digits on front and rear.

Hello, JACustomer. I have been a Veterinary Nurse for over 15 years and would be happy to help you today. I'm reviewing your question right now.

1) How old is he? Has he been declawed despite the polydactyly?
2) Is he indoors only?
3) Do he and his brother play rough?
4) Can you attach a video showing him limping?
5) Still eating well?

He's not declawed. To date he's been indoor only. Him and his brother can play rough. They like to play fetch and whatnot but will run top speed. He's not eating well. I put some food in front of him yesterday and he halfheartedly nibbled. I dont think he's excreted at all over the last 24 hours either.
