Customer Question

I came home didn't see my cat around like usual, so thought she was outside. 5 hours later I hear a little cry in the closet, and I look and there she is and wouldn't come out. So I pick her up carefully held her, checked her for sores or anything observable and see nothing. But when I touch her stomach, she makes a little whimper, though it subsided as I quieted her and rubbed her, but she still wants to be in the closet

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.

Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner, but can you tell me:

Any gagging, retching, lip licking, drooling or vomiting?

Will she eat or drink if you take food/water to her?

Are her gums pink or pale/white? Moist or sticky?

Any changes to her breathing?

If you press on her belly, any discomfort, tenderness, or tensing?

Any wounds or sore area on her?

Any sign of her passing small volumes of urine/feces or straining to do so?
