Customer Question

my cat has fip and he isn't eating much. He has fluid in his stomach which is limiting his ability to eat
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. What is the cat's name and age?
Customer: Edward, age 5
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Edward?
Customer: it was suggested that we put him down. My cat initially had a splintered tooth and they there were other complications - which they think is fip. We did some tests but not the last definitive test.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today.

Can you tell me what treatment he is on just now?

Does he seem keen to eat or are you seeing any signs of nausea (ie lip licking, gagging, retching, vomiting, etc)?
