afternoon, just noticed our 4year old red cat has a swollen eye with white membrane covering , he was sleeping and when i sat down near him i noticed this. he went under the bed now, what can we do? it is late to go to a vet. thanks

I'm sorry for this concern about Lokie. I do have a few additional questions to ask about him first if you don't mind:

1. Did he seem to be keeping his eye closed or was he squinting with it?

2. What part of the eye was swollen?

3. Has he been otherwise acting pretty much like his normal self today?
