Customer Question

1yr old active male cat is limping after a fight with another cat. Both have all shots. No blood or scratches. Seems ok, but acts as if he has a sprain or muscle pull in left rear leg. I will check with his vet Tues., but is there any painkiller you can give a cat. He is a good size one year old, close to 10-12 pounds.

Hello, my name is***** and I'd like to help. Unfortunately, all of the human OTC pain medications are very dangerous to cats (like liver failure bad!). Do you have any meds left over from a previous vet visit or maybe his neuter? If not, I'd keep him confined to a smaller area if possible, eliminate him having long distances to travel to the litter box and food/water dishes.
