Customer Question

I have a 25 lb cat with sudden onset of hip or knee pain. Crying when moving and can't get settled in a comfortable position. The vet office is closed. How much aspirin can I give him tonight until he sees the vet tomorrow?

I'm very sorry to hear your kitty Bud is so painful. It must be hard to see him in pain. I recommend holding off on giving him any aspirin until he gets checked out by your vet tomorrow. Aspririn and other anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) may cause upset stomach issues and/or serious kidney damage at the dose required to provide pain and anti-inflammatory relief. I would hate for him to develop a second problem while trying to fix the pain issue.

I'm just following up on our conversation about Bud. How is everything going?
