I adopted a new Cat today and had a bit stressful ride home

Customer Question

I adopted a new Cat today and had a bit stressful ride home since we took the subway. Since we left, I had noticed he's been breathing rapidly and his abdomen is moving really fast.
It has me a little freaked and I'm not sure what to do. This is my first cat so I'm wondering if this is due to him being anxious? Is there anyway to call him down in the meantime?

Hi this is Dr. Gabby, It sounds like stress. Is he open mouth breathing? Are you home yet?
