Hi. Welcome to Just Answer. My name is***** Thank you for your question. The best thing to remove a little material from around the eye is to use a damp tissue and to gently blot at the area to get it softened up to help remove it. With one so young, could some discharge be due to a viral infection like a herpes virus or calici virus? I would hope that she's otherwise comfortable and the eye is open and not all angry looking. If it is, then a visit to the vet would be a good idea.
