Customer Question

My cat Baby is 7 yrs old, not eating or drinking for 6 days, and vomiting 3 times a day a yellowish foamy substance. I also noticed he has not been using the litter box. I took him to the vet today, they performed a complete cbc and treated him systematically for his vomiting. I was given an oral medication(Cerilia) to give him once a day for 4 days for his vomiting. They didn't x-ray him, and I personally feel that he has ingested something and has a blockage. They told me to watch him closely, and if this continues to bring him right back. I think he may have eaten and swallowed a loose piece of sisel from his scratching post. The blood work results were normal. Please advise, as I can't stand to see him so uncomfortable. Thank you, *****

Hello, my name is***** and i will help you.

I can see why you are concerned.

Did you tell your vet about your concerns regarding the sisel?

Does he seem any better?

Was Baby dehydrated and was he given iv fluids?

It's been two hours and you still have not responded. Perhaps you went to bed.

If Baby did not get better with the Cerenia you better take him back to your vet. He needs to start eating and drinking again. He must have lost a lot of weight. Mention an Xray and perhaps a barium swallow.

I hope that this has helped.

We can continue this tomorrow - even after the rating - because I am here to help.
