Customer Question

Last night our 8-year old female cat started taking a few steps forward and then walked backwards. We thought maybe she had a hairball, but there has been no sign of that. She ate dinner last night, breakfast this morning, but she is doing it again. She is also hiding under a bed, which she doesn't usually do. She doesn't take any meds, has never been sick. We think she urinated, Should we take her to emergency vet?
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. The Veterinarian will know if the cat will be able to digest that. What is the cat's name?
Customer: Lucy. Digest what?
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Lucy?
Customer: She is an indoor cat and has been declawed. Aside from that, she's normal.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Veterinarian about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today.

Any change of a trauma (ie car accident, fall, anything falling on her, etc)?

Does she appear sore anywhere? when you press on her belly, back, and hips?

Does she have any circling, head tilts, or appear mentally different?
