Hi, I'm Dr. Evans. I'm a licensed veterinarian and will do my best to help with your question. I have a few questions of my own to help be give you the best answer.

How long have you had your cat and has he had a rabies vaccination previous to this incident (perhaps as a kitten)? I understand he's only eaten a bite of food in the last couple of days? Does he seem not hungry or more than he's having trouble chewing? Does his tail wound appear to be healing well?
