My male cat is about 8 yrs old. He seems to be slugish

Customer Question

My male cat is about 8 yrs old. He seems to be slugish lately and he is uncomfy when I try to feel around his tummy. Ive also heard of some ring worm infections that some cats have had in our city. He is an indoor/ outdoor cat. What might cause possibly an intestonal problem? What do I need to do for him?

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today.

Any recent changes to his appetite, thirst, or breathing?

Is he passing urine normally?

Is he very sore when you press on his abdomen? Is it sore near the rib cage or between the back legs?

Any retching, gagging, lip licking or vomiting?

Are his gums pink or pale/white? Moist or sticky?

Could he have eaten something he should not have (ie bones, toys, plants, chemicals, etc)?

Has he had any diarrhea?
