I am sorry to hear about this concern for Schumacher.

With the problem being persistent diarrhea, and the bloodwork including thyroid level being unremarkable, the next two things we should be thinking about are:

1. intestinal parasites (not worms but giardia or coccidial infection even if 100% indoors)


2. primary intestinal disease, which unfortunately includes intestinal cancer.

So, I would make sure a fecal test gets done, otherwise, the next diagnostic test would absolutely be to consider a abdominal ultrasound. It is non-invasive, and even though it can't definitively diagnose cancer, it would give the vet a very good look at the intestinal and stomach walls layering and thickeness to suggest if intestinal cancer or inflammatory bowel disease is a consideration or not.
