Our 11 yr. old Siamese cat will not let our 10mo. old kitten

Customer Question

Our 11 yr. old Siamese cat will not let our 10mo. old kitten any where near the bedroom which she considers her domain and basically lives in there. Is there anything we can do? The kitten 10mo. is alone and extremely demanding of our time and attention whenever she sees us.............Please, there must be someway to get the older one to change her behavior...............what can we do?

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. I have advanced training in feline behavior and would like you to review this synopsis of cat interaction: and then return to our conversation with further questions or concerns. The synopsis is an honest take on what you're dealing with and should temper your expectations.
