I too have cats that have just recently noticed a discharge

Customer Question

Customer: I too have cats that have just recently noticed a white discharge coming from their bottoms. They are just over 1 years old, have mostly been indoor cats until a month ago, where they've been moved to a home that has a closed off outdoor area. Sound like worms or some issue with their anal glands? The boy has put on weight, but the girl has remained quite small.
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: Short haired domestic kitties, very well looked after, very clean and nothing else has gone wrong with them until now. I'm assuming it's worms, as the outdoors has only recently been introduced & whilst they were vaccinated, no worming pills as such have been issued
JA: OK got it. Last thing — JustAnswer charges a fee (generally around $19) to post your type of question to Cat Veterinary Experts (you only pay if satisfied). There are a couple customers ahead of you. Are you willing to wait a bit?
Customer: yep
JA: OK. Now I'm going to take you to a page to place a secure deposit with JustAnswer. Don't worry, this chat is saved. After that, we will finish helping you.

Hi, I can help you with your question today.

I agree, based on your description I am suspicious of intestinal parasites.

I recommend having a stool sample evaluated by your local vet. They may also consider empirical deworming with a broad spectrum product like Profender. This is available by prescription only.
