I am working my kennel of GSDs. I'm using safe-guard

Customer Question

I am working my kennel of GSDs for hookworms.
I'm using safe-guard (Fenbendazol 10% oral suspension)
If I'm worming just for the hookworms do I need to treat 3 days in a row?
Or do I worm once now and once again in two weeks?

Thank you for your question, I'm Dr. Dan and I'll try to help you.

If you are using this product as a preventative dewormer for just a few dogs then the three day course of treatment is all that is needed. If you have an established infection with more than just 2-3 dogs then treat with a 3 day course now and another three day course in 2 weeks. Finally, if there is a really problematic infestation that is difficult to clear it is recommended to do the three day course then repeat in 2 weeks and three months. I hope this helps, if not please feel free to ask more questions, if it has please let me know by leaving a rating. Dr. Dan
