My cat Rowdy has not been feeling well since yesterday

Customer Question

Hi, My cat Rowdy has not been feeling well since yesterday afternoon. He is worse today. When I got home from work about 5: 00 this evening he did not meet me as usual. He always follows me like a dog. Wants treats all the time. I gave him 5 or 6 this evening he waited a few minutes before he ate them. He is lying on my bed where he spent most of yesterday. He is drinking a little water. He was on the sofa when I got home today. He did get up when I put food in his feeder. He did eat a little bit. He is just lying on my bed not very responsive. Rowdy is 5 years old. What should I do?
Thank You

Hi Judy. Welcome to Just Answer. My name is***** and I've been a veterinarian for 15 years. I'm sorry to hear about Rowdy's situation. Is he an indoor only cat? Has he had any vomiting since yesterday? Has he been urinating and defecating normally? Is he breathing harder or with more effort than normal?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
He had an upset stomach last Wed. Night. Nothing since. He is indoor. Occasionally I let him out for about an hour rarely. He has been going in his potty as usual. He acts like he is tired. Thank You For Your Help And Concern

No labored breathing. He actually seems to not be breathing as well as normal.

He had went back on the sofa. I went to check on him ask if he wanted treats he perked up a little.

He followed me for treats but didn't touch them. He meowd a few times like he wanted something. Now he is back on the sofa.

I'm very sorry for my delay in responding. I had a major computer crash that took a bit to get resolved. That is good that he followed you around. How long ago did he last eat that little bit?

Hi Judy. I'm sorry that there was a break down in my initial responding to you - computer difficulties were at hand. I'm hoping that Rowdy is feeling better and his normal self at this time. I will send your question on to the customer service to help with things further.
