Hi there and thank you for your question. My name is ***** ***** I am a licensed, internship-trained veterinarian with 10 years experience in general medicine and emergency and critical care medicine and I would be happy to assist you. Please be patient as there may be slight delays in responses as I research your pet's issue.

When did this start?

Has your cat lost any weight in recent months?

Has your cat been drinking or urinating more than usual in recent months?

It started today. She has not lost any weight. We did notice she had a urinary accident 2 weeks ago. I did manage to get her to drink a bit of water. She was totally fine last night and this morning

Okay. As I am sure you know, the best thing would be to see the vet as soon as possible for blood work and an exam. This could be caused by any number of things, could be kidney disease or a kidney infection, or severe urinary tract infection, or bladder stones. For now, I would syringe small quantities of water as often as possible. I would not worry about food right now.
