Hello.

I prefer the radioactive iodine treatment. The reason, is because this is a cure. The medication (Methimazole) is just to keep the disease under control. It's not curative, though. The only cure options are radioactive iodine and surgical removal of the glands. These are more expensive, but they're better options and then you don't have to pill your cat every day.
