Customer Question

Hi, my cat swallowed one, possibly two smallish rubber bands, how concerned should I be? I saw somewhere that I should give her some olive oil?

This is Dr Christian. I'd like to help. Small rubber bands should pass through her system. Try giving her canned pumpkin with her meals for the next few days. You'd be surprised how many cats will eat it. The fiber in the pumpkin will help move the rubber bands through her intestinal tract. If she stops eating, becomes lethargic, develops belly pain or starts vomiting then have her seen by a veterinarian. If you have more questions please reply back.
