My cat is 8 yrs old. 2 nights ago I woke up @3am, my cat has was bothered by something as he was happy earlier in that day.
Since 3am he's been lethargic, won't eat or drink on his own, he's grunting while breathing and has been bed ridden for the last 1 1/2 days. No number 2s and urinates short from where he lays all day.
Any help?

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Vocalizing when breathing (dyspnea/difficult breathing) is a danger sign for respiratory compromise. You've mentioned that Pickles had been hospitalized and treated for asthma. He needs to be returned to the hospital for additional therapy. You can't manage such a patient at home - at least not without a metered dose inhaler (MDI) which should be considered once he's stabilized at the hospital.
