My rescued female cat uses everything except the litter box

Customer Question

My rescued female cat uses everything except the litter box to "go to the bathroom" in.
Cat has been examined and is healthy; also only 4 or 5 years old. Has been "put out" of several homes, probably for this reason.
Any suggestions?

Hi I'm Rosie one of the vets and I'd like to try and help you. This can be an extremely frustrating problem to deal with, but it is always possible to get to the bottom of things and get it sorted out. I have a few questions, if that's ok.

- how many cats do you have?

- how many litter boxes?

- is it urine and faeces that she is doing everywhere?

- what type of litter boxes do you have?

- can she go outside, or is she an indoor cat?

- have you tried different sorts of litter?

- does she have long or short fur?

Thank you - the extra information will really help. Rosie.
