My cat just came in from outside whining and crying, her ears

Customer Question

My cat just came in from outside whining and crying, her ears are red and hot and she won't stop licking and biting her feet and legs. Normally she comes when I call her but she won't. She did eat some tuna but wouldn't drink anything and is acting irritated but not overly distressed. What might have happened?

Hi, this is Dr. Gabby. It sounds like she may be having some sort of allergic reaction to something she came in contact with? Do you have any benadryl? Will she let you give her a bath to wash off any remaining allergens or irritants?
