Customer Question

yes I accidently stepped on my kitten last night. She was at first not moving her hind legs and tail but now she can flip her tail and attempt to put weight on one leg. The other leg however is dragging. She cant balance her hind quarters at this time but mostly cause she can apply pressure to one of her back legs. Would it be necessary to go to an animal hospital (from what they said probably a $1000 visit) or take her to a vet for a appointment for prognosis.

Aloha! You're speaking with Dr. Michael Salkin
I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Your question was unclear. Vets are associated with veterinary hospitals in the great majority of the time. Adeline will be palpated (felt) to see if there are obvious fractures and then X-rayed to better understand if spinal, pelvic, or leg damage has occurred. You'll then be apprised of what can be done for her and given an estimate for her repair.
I regret that I can't correspond with you outside of this venue. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.
