My six year old female cat has not been eating much the last

Customer Question

My six year old female cat has not been eating much the last three days, not touching her soft food. The temperatures have been warm but air conditioning has kept the house under 80 degrees. Today she has been hiding under the bed. Any thoughts?

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today.
Has she been willing to eat any other foods (ie dry, boiled chicken, white fish, etc)
Has she had any gagging, lip licking, retching or vomiting?
Any diarrhea?
Any exposure to toxins, or risk that she could have eaten something she should not have (ie bones, toys, plants, etc)?
Is she drinking?
