I have had my cat to the vet twice in three weeks

Customer Question

I have had my cat to the vet twice in three weeks for blood in her urine. They have given her shots but I noticed to day the blood in the urine is back. What could be causing this? I want to be informed when I go back or to a new vet she does not seem to be in pain but this is bothering me that I have not got an answer from my vet.

Hi, I can help you with your question today.
There are a number of different possible causes of blood in urine. This can include infection, idiopathic cystitis, urinary stones and even bladder tumors (unlikely in a young cat).
What tests has your vet done so far? Regular urine test? Bacterial culture? X-rays? Ultrasound?
