Customer Question

Hi. Have another question. Is it normal for cats to drool a bit? Mine does like a drop or so couple of times a day. I notice also some bad breath since I changed her food from Wellness canned to Royal Canin Hypoallergenic canned. She got a check up about a month ago and with the exception of some minor plaque everything was ok. Should i get her checked again?

Aloha! You're speaking with Dr. Michael Salkin
My girl cat used to drool on me like mad when she purred. Drooling can also arise secondary to oral pain, nausea, and GI distress. I can't imagine anything dire has arisen within the month and so unless her drooling exacerbated, I'd just wipe her chin for her and continue to "watchful wait".
