My 4yr old cat who was a feral barn cat up until a month

Customer Question

My 4yr old cat who was a feral barn cat up until a month ago when I took her to Forgotten Felines; she had horrible dental disease and had all teeth extracted from the incisors back. She recovered beautifully. However, she started vomiting her canned food (Friskies Pate) a couple of days ago. Projectile vomiting. Yet she still begs for food. No diarrhea, no hairball, totally indoors and her brother and sister are fine. Her energy level is certainly lower but she's alert, will play if engaged and drinks a bit more water than usual (but not an excessive amount) and is urinating normally. Plz advise me as to what I should do.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today.
How long has she been vomiting?
Can she keep water down?
Are her gums pink or pale/white? Moist or sticky?
If you press on her belly, does she have any discomfort, tenderness, or tensing?
Could she have eaten something she should not have (ie bones, string, plants, chemicals, etc)?

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. My cell phone quit working😒.
However. I have good news; Rose is just fine now! Whatever was upsetting her tummy worked its' way out and she's good as new, if not better!
Even though it wasn't necessary to use ur services (I already knew to do all the things u suggested with ur questions as I spent 2 urs assisting the vet tech at an animal shelter here in Calif) I am so pleased that this website is in existence. It offers me a certain relief and security knowing that I can talk with a vet when I'm concerned about one of my babies. Thank u so much😍

It so happened that I had put Rose's daddy to sleep just 2 days before😩. Larry had developed crystals in his UT and wasn't a good candidate for surgery as he also had a heat murmur.
I guess I kinda freaked out when Rose started displaying signs of illness. Thank heavens it was just a tummy ache!!!

My thanks to u again,

No worries my dear,
Since we didn't actually get to chat about Rose, I will refer your question back to customer service.
All the best to you all,
