Will rubbing orange peel on a cat's fur get rid of fleas and is it safe?
Hi, I'm Dr. Deb. I will do my best to assist you today.
To answer your question, no, orange peel will not kill fleas on a cat..
In addition, cat's don't like citrus in general, so you will make your cat very unhappy if you do this to him, although it would be considered "safe".
Essential oils (very concentrated oils) can be effective in repelling fleas but are not advised for use in cats. They are sensitive to many things and these oils can cause environmental contaminants to be absorbed into the body. They also evaporate very quickly and constantly need to be applied.

I hope this answers your question.
