Customer Question
I have a 9 year...
I have a 9 year old cat with dental problem teeth , she had 5 teeth recently. The vet said try to get her on grain free food so she won't loose her other teeth. She won't eat any of them and only will eat fancy feast which I heard is not good food. She will eat Iams which but it isn't grain free but a better food. Is that ok ? hat would be the top 3 or 4 best cat foods you recommend for my cat at his age from hear on out. Maybe the Fancy Feast isn't that bad?

Hi there.

Most often dental problems in cats is hereditary and has nothing to do with the food. Eating hard food often will decrease the amount if tartar build up which can also cause dental problems.

The best thing for your cat is a senior diet such as Science Diet or Royal canin or even Iams Senior. have her eat this as the dry food and then give her the Fancy feats as a treat. This food is not bad for her as long as it is not the entire meal.

Good Luck!!
