Amoxicillin liquid suspension, when refrigerated, is safe and effective for antibiotic use for 10 days after reconstitution. If you are using capsules or tablets, the expiration date is much longer and is extremely variable depending on when the stock was purchased. By law, the expiration date of any prescription medication dispensed must be present on the label of the medication. If your kitty has been prescribed this medication by a veterinarian and the expiration date is not on the label, please call your veterinarian and bring this up to them so they may address it.
