Hi! I was curious if you knew any options leaving Medicare sales without getting a huge paycut?
Sales in general is frustrating even though I take home 6-7k a month is nice I’m just not happy, but I don’t have a degree or anything.
I’d like to have more freedom if possible and also to make a decent amount without being unhappy. 🙏

Thank you! *****’m struggling figuring out what would make me happy. I want some freedom in the job that’s the main thing I need being a single mom I hate sitting at a desk all day not being able to go to my sons game if I need to. I also enjoy helping people and being really personable, I’m a super compassionate person.
I want to do ministry one day and counseling but I need income right now to build up. I also want to work on a side business so I have some extra money coming in.
I don’t know if I can leave sales all together because it’s all that’s paid me so good without a degree.Let me know if any of that makes sense please I just need some ideas if possible :)

Understood! Flexibility is so important these days, and I can understand especially as a single mom that flexibility means even more. The bright side of covid has been that more roles have increased their flexibility and more and more companies are offering remote jobs. I highly recommend searching for remote opportunities and then seeing from there what speaks to you and what you think you may be qualified for. The remote opportunities should help you find the freedom that you're looking for. Unfortunately, the job market right now is highly competitive, so it's a numbers game - apply for as many jobs as you think you may be interested/qualified for. Not having a degree may be a roadblock for you - but be persistent! You could likely find something in sales but also could probably find something in Customer Service!

My favorite place to start the search is with specific companies - a lot of companies are funneling customer service jobs to remote employees - my favorite of which are Amazon and Geico.

Thank you yes I work remote now which is nice but I still have to abide by the occupancy.
The problem I’ve had with customer service is it doesn’t pay anywhere near what I make now.
I was wondering if I’d like real estate because I can make good movie and have freedom I’d think.Money*

Real Estate is great and the market is hot right now. The problem is that after you get certified, you have to sign on with an established agent and generally they take a large percentage of your sales until you hit a cap - the market is flooded with real estate agents and even when you do make money, it is extremely inconsistent and unpredictable - you can go months without getting a paycheck. You could also check into sales consulting roles, data entry is actually surprisingly high paying, and virtual assistants make good money.

It's very honestly going to be hard to find a job that matches what you make with no degree if you switch fields, given the competitiveness of the job market right now. When covid hit, a lot of salaried employees got let go, and we still find that for better paying roles employees get way more applicants than they need and are often able to hire overqualified candidates because of that.

Thank you sorry there was a tornado here! That’s a good point on the real estate part. Can you explain what sales consulting is? And what do I look for?
