Am i bondable if i have a theft conviction (theft under $250) on my record? It's about three years old.

I answered a similiar question yesterday from a person who had been arrested for theft , the charges had later been dropped.

I put that question to a representative of this national bonding company.
He indicated that someone in that circumstance would have to undergo an
underwriting process in order to determine whether they are bondable
for banking employment.

Since you have been convicted, I cannot speak with certainty about
your bondability -- however, because of the small dollar amount of the
theft, or IU, I would give it a shot.

The company I spoke with yesterday offers free consultations -- and I assume that
other bonding companies do as well. A phone call to one, or more, bonding companies may well be worth your while.
