Since you don't have any medical history and don't take medications, try looking at something else like coffee and soda. Identify medical conditions in the family will also help. Looking at thyroid problem can sometimes pinpoint a situation like yours. I suggest doing a thyroid function test; it must be hormones that is causing it. this should answer your question for now. That is hard to say if you don't have Nocturnal polysomnography. Perhaps investigating further would help, and observe it for now. You are young at 37 years old, and disease is seldom encountered in this age group. But yes, you may be right. I would suggest observing, and when it reoccurs, then seek an appointment.

Not snoring would not mean you don't have it. I am also not saying you already have it because you haven't been tested yet. You have the symptoms that may pertain to it, and perhaps, this is only your last test to rule it out.
