Hello,I am Dr. Aren , I have been practising medicine for 38 years,I will help with your query. The cause of your mid chest soreness is probably due to oeasophageal issues like oesophageal spasms, motility dysfunction, oesophagitis and stenosis of the oesophagus.Ruling out any cardiac causes by getting a full catrdiac work up done will be prudent,as sometimes cardiac problems may mimioc the gastrointestinal problems.A upper Gi endoscopy, oesophageal motility studies and an ECG/echocardiography and a cardiac stress test will help identify the problem.
