Cardiology Questions Answered by Verified Cardiologists.
Thank you for your question,i am assistant professor in field of medicine/cardiology and will try to assist you.. Skipped beats are mainly due to PVCs or PACs called premature ventricle or premature arterial contractions. These are mainly due to abnormality in the heart conduction system. Which can be due to age related sclerosis of the heart conduction system or can be due to ischemia, electrolyte imbalance. These are mostly benign unless associated with chest pain, syncope, dizziness. You will need an ECG and a holter test, plus your doctor will do echocardiogram to make sure it is not due to serious problems like angina or ischemia. Let me know if you have questions, thank you.
As all your tests are normal and there are few skipped beats then it means that these symptoms are not serious and can be controlled with medicine for anxiety and also by loosing weight will help lower the severity of symptoms.
